An unscientific theory

After much field observation, I have come to a conclusion: college students have a subconscious tendency to travel in packs. Nobody approaches the circulation desk at this library for long periods of time. Every so often the invisible dam surrounding the desk bursts and patrons come flooding over. Separate, but together. This is a fairly regular event. There is insufficient anecdotal data at this time to determine why this happens, but I’m sure that I (or you…) will make up a ridiculous reason for why this happens. Personally, I think it has something to do with the rampant Myspace usage or faintly scented pheromones. Or both. Or none of the above.

Did you know that the Internet exists solely for looking at porn viewing the profiles of random chicks wanting a friends add which is the same thing?

I think your observation could be applied to many, many other situations, such as shopping. No one will go into a store until one other person does and then *everyone* will go into it.

And in answer to your question, that’s completely true. :D

Random chicks who want sex…ahem.. my theory on why they travel in packs is because they want to feel more important and popular than they all ready are. Reminds me of my old school library.

ahahaha. that sounds like my high school.

I’m pretty sure it’s even worse in high school - no one wants to be perceived as a loner with no friends, and apparently being with 10 other people all the time is the only way to show that you’re cool enough to have friends. Not that I agree with it…

I dont travel in any ‘pack’. lol. Ofcorse im also atleast 2 years younger than most first time college students, but im in my 2nd year already. :/ That could have somethig to do with it…
and I don’t think that is all the internet is used for. Granted, tere are way too many girls out there willing to take their clothes off for the internet. In my opnion they are the least attractive. :/
