random questioner

I love questions, especially random ones. They’re fun to ask and fun to answer. I even joined The Question Club community on Livejournal.

What I’m proposing is an interview of sorts with anyone who wants to participate. It’s preferable that those who do have a site (so there’s somewhere to link to), but it’s not required. All you need to do is contact me somehow (preferably via comments) to say you’re interested and I’ll send you a list of 5-10 questions on whatever subjects I feel like asking about at the moment. There won’t be any vulgar questions and there will likely be at least one that’s blogging-related. You answer them at your leisure and send them back. Then they get formatted nicely and posted. Simple. :)

Any suggestions for questions to add to the list?

[ETA 30 June 2008: I'm working on compiling the list of questions and will start sending them out soon.]

Small Updates

Mainly working on getting the hosting site up and going. Couple of small updates around the site. Testing out ads on the sidebar. Is hopefully not too garish. New things coming soon. *nod nod*

blogging poll

So, I’ve been thinking about this blog and the site in general, and wondering what to do with it. To help the process along, I’d like to ask what sort of posts you (the readers) would like to see:

  • More blogs about life and such.
  • More blogs that are informative.
  • More blogs about random things.
  • Some combination of the above.
  • An equal mix of the above.
  • Something else?

Input is greatly appreciated. :)

New, it’s so new

New theme (again). New content, and more to come. Blogging should hopefully become more frequent.

Strawberry pie

On impulse the other night, I bought a strawberry pie from the Village Inn without looking at it first as I hadn’t had one from anywhere in a long time and I remembered these to be rather good. I got home to find that it was basically a pile of strawberries on a graham cracker crust with a little bit of whipped cream around the edges. Twelve dollars plus tax for this. If only I’d known…

Recreating the strawberry pie:
Fresh strawberrries (1 LB): $2.00
Pie tin leftover from Marie Callender’s: $.50
Graham cracker crust leftover from a cheesecake mix: $.25
Off-brand “Cool Whip”: $.89
Total: $3.64

This is why impulse buys are bad. -.-
