New temporary layout. I upgraded to the new version of WP and somehow the theme I’ve been using killed the entire thing. Still not sure how that happened… Working on something (hopefully) better to replace it.

I just purchased $460 worth of textbooks for the summer semester.  The accounting textbook alone was nearly $180.  Custom editions suck.

When wasting time online, I sometimes come across really interesting sites. These are just a few of them.

Girly: A usually hilarious web comic about a girl named Winter and her sidekick Otra who have lots of adventures.

Something Store: Pay ten dollars and get a random item ranging from wallets to gift cards to bluetooth headsets. I’m going to try this soon to see what I get.

Brand Tags: What is a brand? According to this site, it is whatever people think it is and allows them to tag the brands as such.

Ms. & Mrs.: A family owned store that sells a variety of emergency survival kits including ones for college freshmen, working men and women, and brides.

Magic Pen Game: Draw shapes to push the ball to the flags. It’s not as easy as it sounds.

Do you have any interesting sites to recommend?

A guy comes into the library looking for his class.  This is a pretty common request on the first day of the semester.  He was told that it was on the fourth floor of the library.  Our library only has two floors (three if you count the basement).

His class was actually at Library Square campus which is so named due to its proximity to the main city library.  The campus is located downtown, about a twenty minute drive when traffic is light and at least a half hour during rush hour.  The class was due to start in ten minutes.

I just hope his professor wasn’t one of those that closes and locks the door when class starts…

One of the few Spice Girls memories I have…

The big thing among my group of friends in junior high was making up clubs. The Cool Girls Club, The Rugrats Club, The Spice Girls Club… Yes, the Spice Girls club. There were initially four of us in the club and we were each one of the girls. My memory’s a bit fuzzy on it, but I seem to remember being dubbed Baby Spice because I was the youngest. I wasn’t a big fan of the group at the time and barely knew any of the songs, but went along with it because that’s what my friends were into.

We played this game for a few days at recess and then one of the other girls in the class wanted to join us. There was one Spice left (Scary Spice) so that’s who she was given. Unfortunately her best friend wanted to join as well upon finding out about it. We had kept it a secret from her because if she knew, she wouldn’t leave us alone until she had been allowed to join. She would immediately try to take over and we’d all end up quitting.

We finally gave in and allowed her to join and made up a sixth girl for her to be. Her bossy side came out almost immediately. Started ordering us around and changing the rules. After about one recess of this, all of us original members quit and formed another club. Of course the other two followed us to that one…and that one collapsed as did all the others…

One more thing, new layout, definitely in need of work. Any suggestions?
